Could be the dealer, but there are other people who could be selling your info as well, and they may even be able to registration info from public records.

Or the finance company did it. Or the marketing company got it from their weekly sift through the public records which record the sale and registration information.

Man I love those calls. I answered and had em on the line for a good ten minutes before I asked if I could buy a warranty for my 1981 Rabbit that hasn’t run since 1987. I haven’t been called since!
